Nintendo reportedly stopped manufacture of the Nintendo Classic Mini Famicom to turn the production over to a mini snes, although it won't be able to play actual SNES cartridges (or dumped ROMs without modification) and you might have trouble getting one, because demand is probably going to be huge. I'm thinking of buying a SNES used on ebay for around 100$ and a 20$ CRT television to use it. Sadly this game is probably pretty expensive because the developer got sued and had to take the game completely off the market. It was one of the first games put out by the company that later became known as Rockstar. It's unicycle racing game where you pull off these crazy tricks to try to gain speed. Another hidden gem I loved back in the SNES era was Uniracers. The combat is a lot of fun and the storyline is pretty interesting. It's an action RPG in a future Seattle that I think works really well. If you're looking for hidden gems, I can recommend Shadowrun. The Cinemassacre youtube channel (I highly recommend it if you're into NES and SNES games) has a great video on Actraiser. Actraiser is a really fun game that alternates between side scrolling action and city building. I'm not usually into racing games, but F-Zero is a really addicting arcade racer with absolute top notch music (the theme from Mute City is one of the catchiest things you'll ever hear in a game). The SNES graphics look really weird in those games and I think they're much better experienced on the original 8-bit NES and Famicom. I personally wouldn't recommend Super Mario AllStars though. Super Castlevania IV is probably the greatest Castlevania game, and Super Metroid + Super Mario World are can't miss. The two Final Fantasy games are incredible, and Chrono Trigger is absolute can't miss if you like old school RPGs. And if you have you already know that lol. If you have never played it, it's a must. Zelda A Link to the Past is one of the 7 absolutely perfect games I have ever played since I started gaming in the mid 80s. Man I'm pissed I threw mine out years ago. The SNES is such an amazing system so I totally understand getting one. I would buy it from a retro gaming store just so you have the option of returning it if the thing doesn't work.
